Thank my luck that Im typing on my Yoda Mac

So, my parents house got broken into...

I walked into the house from my slow morning working out, just wanted to drop some stuff off and head out to lunch with my aunt and cousins but then I noticed my front door wide open. My first thought was, "oh shit, did I leave the front door unlocked??  My dad is going to KILL me!!" But then I saw the TV was gone and the back door was broken into... yup, definitely wasn't my fault.

Nothing like this ever happens to me so I was walking in a circle for what seemed like 10 minutes but was probably only 30 seconds before I realized I should call 911 (for my first time ever) and report a break in. Next thing of importance, MY MAC!! It was pure relief when I saw my mac laying on my bed as peaceful as when I left it. Don't nobody take my Yoda Mac. Then I booked it outta the house and waited on the road for the cops.

It was weird because they left a lot of things, only taking the TV and some money off my bedside table which was right next to my Mac.

Thank my luck that:
A) I wasn't in the house when they decided to break in
B) They didn't take Yoda Mac
C) They didn't take a lot of other things that they could have taken.

This is why I don't have nice things!

Im still a little shook up and pissed off that my day was altered so much. Now Im starving, tired cause I didn't get to take my nap today and need to start packing before tomorrow since today is pretty much the last day Ive got time to do some packing!!

Off to the VI in three days!

Red = Passion

Yesterday, I had a shit-eating grin as I was winding through local streets, pedaling and feeling the warm breeze in my hair. I recently, in the last month, moved to the DC area and have been struggling to fit in and find my place. This month, Ty and I got our own room in a place that we share with a few others that are our roommates in our new town. But there are still so many things that are missing in my life. I need yoga, rock climbing and freedom to get around on my own. On Tuesday afternoon, I took that first step at transportation freedom in the form of a two wheeled vehicle. I took the metro to Virginia which is a bit of a ride from my new home on the Maryland side. I stopped at one of the last metro stops and walked out into the sunny, nice weather. I was meeting someone from craigslist who was selling a little, red Schwinn bike. I exited the station and immediately saw the little red bike being held up by a sweet looking, older man. I introduced myself, took the bike for a...

Runners High

At 12:30pm, I stepped outside for the first time all day. I hadn't really even left my room until I realized that if I didnt go outside, I probably would bum it all afternoon. I put my running shoes on and bounced outside. I started walking and after I got myself settled, I started to run. After being cooped up, those first few steps of an outdoor run is so magical. The feeling of freedom, fresh air and adrenaline is fantastic. I always have a mad smile and excitement for being able to move so fast. After my first few minutes of running, thats when the exhaustion sets in. What keeps me going longer, is adventure. Do I like running? Not really. Do I enjoy exploring? Obviously. I decided to check out a new part of the power line trail that I have not seen before and ran up the hills, or on straight path, and walked down hills. I went to the beginning of the trail and back again, smiling at the other people who were also out for their afternoon walk/bike. The sun came out and it...

To Brittian and Back

Today Amber, Dana and I woke up early to go on an adventure. 6:23 to be exact. How I know that is because Ty had to call me to wake Dana and I up from our very deep slumber. I sprung awake and got ready in record time to try to help Ty jump his car. Only it didn't work so we had to wake up my roommate to drive us all. The three ladies convened at the dock where our boat trip would leave. We were all a little tired but mostly excited for our long overdue adventure and being tourists for the day. We started our tip with about an hour long boat ride to Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands (BVI), the three of us talking about anything and everything that came to mind. Once we got to Virgin Gorda, everyone on the trip took a taxi over to the baths. The baths (BVI) are a geologic structure in which volcanic rock is pushed up near the water to create tunnels, pools, arches and grottoes. There are only two baths in the world, one being in the BVI, so it was super cool that we got to go...
