Today was a pretty standard weekend here in PA.
I dont do much but hope that its nice out so I can go for a walk and explore on my own, but the sun didnt come shining through my window this morning to wake me up. I slept in.
After a few hours of lounging around watching youtube videos about history, I asked Cassie if she wanted to explore the town.
We decided to take a visit to a local winery/brewery, Stone & Key Cellars, to do some tastings. They had quite the spread of things to taste and we were overwhelmed! Fruit wines and your typical whites and reds, cider and mede! I started out with some of the red fruit wines and Cassie with the white fruits. They were all a bit sweet for me so I moved right into the bold reds. We got four tastings each and shared our tastes but also, the bartender was super cool and gave us more tastings of whatever he wanted! He was talking to us about the local area and what breweries to check out next in our exploration of Pennsylvania. Going to wine tastings where the bar tender is willing to give you extra tastes is the best! We will definitely be going back there to try more things.
After our tastings, we realized that we had too much fun there and had missed the movie we wanted to go see. But thats alright, we hung out at World Market and marveled at how expensive all our favorite chocolates were before heading to a place to get some delicious frozen yoghurt! I do love me some froyo. There, I beat Cassie three times at connect four which I owe my skill to my summers practicing with the kids at before and after care in MKE. That game is one of my favorites to play.
When we got back to camp, we got some dinner and watched a movie while we ate. How to Train Your Dragon is such a good kid movie. No shame!
The movie ended and I got up to go into the kitchen and noticed the HUGE tray of cake that was sitting on our dining table. I had NO idea where it came from because before the movie it wasn't there and we both didnt hear anyone come in to drop it off! There was more cake in the kitchen! This cake just came out of nowhere and there is no way that this household will be able to eat it all before it goes bad. Anyone want cake?
