The evening after our snorkel trip in Phi Phi, Ty and I were pretty tired. We also decided that some alone time would be nice. So I went to get a pedicure while Tyler went to grab a massive meal (even though we had a late lunch on the boat lol).
It was so nice to just sit on a comfy chair and scroll through Facebook while a woman did my nails. It was quiet and calming. Afterwards, I felt like a new woman walking down the main walkways of Phi Phi with my beautiful toenails! I did a great job of averting the glances from the people in the local bars trying to get people to go in. I just wanted to meet up with my Ty and see how his night was going.
I found him at a restaurant slurping down clams and looking very happy. That boy loves his food.
After he paid, we decided to walk a different way that we had not explored before, away from the craziness of the main part of the island. We wandered into many little art stalls with beautiful pieces (and relatively cheap too!). We both wished that we had a place to put the paintings but... we do not. There were tons of other little stalls open and I probably bought more sarongs (I have so many, its an addiction). But we also found a very beautiful banyan tree that was wrapped in silks and so beautiful.
We kept walking along one of the further beaches and ended up in one of the local sub divisions, I guess you could call that. In the distance you could hear the beach parties that were happening on the other beach (the closer one to our hotel). So, we followed the sounds and found a path that intersected the island, taking us to that beach, but further down. Once we got our feet in the sand, we took off our sandals and enjoyed the long, yet noisy walk to the more populated part of the beach.
We wanted to join in on the party, just a little, so we got ourselves a margarita bucket again and walked out, watched some fire dancers and people watched.
The next morning we got up kinda early to walk to grab our free breakfast and walk/hike to another beach on the island. Breakfast was alright (I had fruit) and we had to walk fast to the beach. There wasn't a whole lot of time before we had to check out of our hotel so we got to the beach, took a picture and then turned around and came back.
The rest of our time on the island was more relaxing and just exploring as we had to grab the 2 pm ferry back to Phuket. I talked Ty into getting a facial with me and he actually liked it! Facials are nice cause you get a nice neck and shoulder massage and you get to just lay there. I love the little storefront spas in Thailand because there are so many and they are so cheap! Like 13 USD for a facial and 8 USD for my pedicure. So cheap to pamper yourself :)
After our facials, we felt super relaxed when we wandered around the town and did some more shopping (I want everything in Thailand, so many cute things for myself and as gifts, and its so inexpensive!), ate some food (I had a banana, Nutella pancake which is kinda sorta like a crepe, Thai style, not bad) and then got on the ferry yet again.
This time, the ferry back was showing the new transformers movie. It was an addicting watch but all I wanted to do was nap...
Back in Phuket, we we out for dinner with Brookie and Justin like we always did and then slept great. Another day in Thailand done.
