On Vacation... Kinda. [Part 1]

I dont even know where to begin or end. The last week Jake was here was super fun. I enjoyed exploring and feeling like I was on vacation with him! Even when I went to work I felt like I was on vacation. Long hair dont care at work... Im on vacation! haha. We had two adventure days that were a lot of fun. Sunday we did the Bad Kitty trip to the BVI like I had done when Dana was here. We got to explore a little bit more of the Baths the second time around. I could have stayed there for hours roaming around the rocks. I also got to take an awesome split level picture: We were lucky enough that the waves were more relaxed and we got to swim into the baths! That was a new fun experience as well. Then we got to have a grand ole time snorkeling and relaxing on the beach. It was super fun. After we got back from the boat, it was time for us all to head to carnival. Its a big party, festival in town. By the time we got there however, I was exhausted from our long day and I just wante

Sunburnt...

After a long day at work the cuddles from my roommates cats are seriously THE BEST. They are the cutest and so snuggly. So today was a long, hear, fun day at work. We started our day at 7:30 am with an adult group kayak and snorkel. The sun was shining bright and I was up on the kayak while they snorkeled to keep an eye on everyone. The morning sun si always what gets me. I put sunscreen on every morning when I wake up but Im not usually in the sun until like noon. Today, I was out with that early morning sun. It felt great (even though 7:30 is damn early to be at work!!). After our Kayak and Snorkel, I was headed on the sailboat cruise because Amber decided to slice her finger open and couldn't go in the water. It was only my second time on the boat and I guess it went ok. While in the water, It was hard to keep everyone together so I could tell them stuff, but thats alight. We saw at least three green sea turtles and I got to bust out my reptile knowledge! After the snorke

Day on St. John

This week Ty and I had a day off together so we planned a hiking day on St. John. We woke up to a beautiful day and hopped on the ferry over to the wonderful island. Once we got there we decided to have some lunch and got sandwiches. My veggie burger with garlic aioli was super delicious! Then time to figure out how we were going to get into the National Park. We tried to hitch (cause thats legal here), but our luck was seriously dry... So we had to bite the bullet and take a taxi to cinnamon bay where the trail that we wanted to hike was. It was a whopping 7 dollars for the both of us!  But it got us right where we needed to go. The hike started going straight and me being in great shape, not, I was huffing and puffing not knowing if I could make it a whole mile up this trail. But it leveled out and started switching back. Our first stop was off the main trail a bit to see some of the plantation ruins and some excellent views of the beaches below us then we continued up. We wa

Word Vomit

The last couple of weeks have been good and bad. Here are the ups and downs: Work has been intense. Ive been working all night shifts, no time for developing my garden, planting more plants, mixing the compost or other office work. We have been busy. Its been good but also super exhausting. Im exhausted. It has given me hardly any time for myself. I want to exercise more but I'm too tired to get moving in the morning before my shift... On Wisconsin!! Watching the final four was super fun! Im not a huge basketball fan but I love watching big games like that. Winning against Kentucky was super exciting and then the amazingly close game against Duke was great to watch. I was almost asleep at the bar last night but it was worth it. Shout out to the generator at Melt cause the power was out. Went out right as Ty and I finished cooking for Amber and Darren! (Burrito night!) The cats are super adorable. They come hang out by me a lot and the baby girl kitty loves to cuddle with me.
