And Also, Dingy Life

I have the worst luck with the dingy. I haven’t completely gone overboard yet but its been close. 

One time, in slow motion, lost my footing and fell into Ty. He grabbed the handle on my backpack and tried to hold me up but I ended up sitting awkwardly in the bottom of the dingy. 

Another time I stepped into the boat, thought I had it all under control, then lost my balance. Again, in slow motion, I leaned over, grabbed onto the dock, put my foot onto a bouy that wasn't tied in tightly. It spun and my foot went right into the water. The new shoes that I bought were all wet. And before I went all the way in, Ty realized that my computer and his Ipad were in my backpack so he came to help, grabbing the loop on my pack. I joked that he was just going to let me go all the way in the water if I didn't have electronics in my bag. 


Theres been other times that Ive lost my footing, but Im overly anxious about going overboard. Ive got pretty good balance but having a backpack on and on the water makes it a bit harder to stay upright!

The Cake Fairy

Today was a pretty standard weekend here in PA. I dont do much but hope that its nice out so I can go for a walk and explore on my own, but the sun didnt come shining through my window this morning to wake me up. I slept in. After a few hours of lounging around watching youtube videos about history, I asked Cassie if she wanted to explore the town. We decided to take a visit to a local winery/brewery, Stone & Key Cellars, to do some tastings. They had quite the spread of things to taste and we were overwhelmed! Fruit wines and your typical whites and reds, cider and mede! I started out with some of the red fruit wines and Cassie with the white fruits. They were all a bit sweet for me so I moved right into the bold reds. We got four tastings each and shared our tastes but also, the bartender was super cool and gave us more tastings of whatever he wanted! Quarantine Day: 6+?

This morning I woke up before the sun and taught some kiddos English. I had all my favorite students today which makes getting up early worth it. Then I had my morning computer time and went on a deep dive into this Facebook group called "House Plant Hobbyist". Its seriously the best group on FB ever. Lots of people post about plants, literally anything about plants and everyone in the group is so supportive and positive. I love it. It makes me happy. I probably spent about 45 minutes just looking at plants and posting suggestions and comments... Yoga time was next. I wanted to get out before the sun took up the backyard space. Theres a nice concrete patch thats perfect for my mat. It was in the shade for my whole practice! I did a long and slow flow and felt super calm and connected after. Tree Tomato Juice in the Galapagos

The last day in the Galapagos! Ty and I wanted to get in one last snorkel and per our favorite travel agent we decided to hit up Charles Darwin beach early in the morning. We all woke up early in the house to go on our morning adventures. The girls were going to the Charles Darwin Research Center, my parents were going to hang out at the research center and the beach and Ty and I were going snorkeling. Tide was low and rocks that we swam over last time were now jutting out of the water. We put on our thickest wetsuits (that we brought) and slowly got into the freezing water. There were two older ladies who were wading in the water as well and giggled at us as we squealed at the cold water. They told us to have a good snorkel and we were on our way. It was cool to see a little closer to all the small fishes and rocks since the tide was out but we really didn't see much.
